Su marca era un dibujo: una estrella radiante, una espiral descendente y un pequeño rombo con un punto en el centro. Ella se sentía muy representada por esos elementos, así que el problema no estaba en el contenido, sino en el rendimiento.Her brand was a drawing: a radiant star, a descending spiral and a small diamond with a dot in the centre. She felt deeply represented by those elements, so the problem wasn't the content — it was the performance.

Un signo estrecho y muy alto queda atado a la altura del contenedor: el ancho se desaprovecha y el trazo fino acaba desvaneciéndose. Fallaba justo donde más se usaba —el avatar de Instagram, el sello de una pieza, el favicon—.A narrow, very tall sign is tied to the height of its container: width goes to waste and the thin stroke fades away. It failed exactly where it was used most — the Instagram avatar, a stamp on a piece, the favicon.

Y había un problema menos visible y más grave: el signo no incluía su nombre. En el brief, lo primero que Maitena pidió fue autenticidad, y la fuerza de que su marca fuera su propio nombre.And there was a less visible, more serious problem: the sign didn't include her name. In the brief, the first thing Maitena asked for was authenticity — and the strength of her brand being her own name.

Tirarlo todo habría resuelto el problema técnico rompiendo el vínculo con el logo de toda su vida.Throwing it all away would have solved the technical problem by breaking her bond with the logo she'd always had.

A eso se sumaba una segunda tensión: Maitena trabaja con sanación energética, pero pidió sin rodeos espiritualidad con los pies en la tierra. Nada de gurú, nada de promesas mágicas.On top of that came a second tension: Maitena works with energy healing, but she plainly asked for down-to-earth spirituality. No guru, no magic promises.

Había que apoyarse en el lenguaje simbólico —mandala, geometría, línea— sin caer en la estética de bienestar de siempre: el degradado violeta, la tipografía manuscrita.We had to lean on symbolic language — mandala, geometry, line — without falling into the usual wellness look: the purple gradient, the handwritten type.

Antes de dibujar nada, tradujimos cada valor de la marca a un recurso gráfico concreto. Este mapa fue la columna vertebral de todo lo que vino después.Before drawing anything, we translated each brand value into a concrete graphic device. This map became the backbone of everything that followed.

Una construcción geométrica de raíz mandálica, a medio camino entre mandala y brújula, articulada sobre cuatro ejes: mente, cuerpo, espíritu y emociones.A geometric construction rooted in the mandala, halfway between mandala and compass, built on four axes: mind, body, spirit and emotions.

Está hecho de capas que se contienen unas a otras: un rombo dentro de un cuadrado dentro de una estrella de cuatro puntas. Lo holístico, literalmente dibujado. Y resuelto solo con línea, sin rellenos ni degradados.It's made of layers that hold one another: a diamond inside a square inside a four-pointed star. Holism, literally drawn. And built with line alone — no fills, no gradients.

Tomamos la estrella y el rombo con el punto que Maitena ya tenía y los reconstruimos con geometría precisa. Solo se fue la espiral: justo el elemento que estiraba la proporción a 1:3,5 e impedía la reducción. El logotipo, ahora con su nombre completo, la acompaña con una serif de alto contraste.We took the star and the dotted diamond Maitena already had and rebuilt them with precise geometry. Only the spiral went — precisely the element that stretched the ratio to 1:3.5 and made reduction impossible. The logotype, now with her full name, pairs it with a high-contrast serif.

Sobre esa base construimos el sistema completo: versiones positiva y negativa, usos incorrectos documentados, paleta, tipografías y un patrón gráfico que nace de ampliar y recortar el propio símbolo. Ese patrón hace que la marca funcione en formatos grandes sin repetir el logo.On that foundation we built the full system: positive and negative versions, documented misuses, palette, typefaces and a graphic pattern born from enlarging and cropping the symbol itself. That pattern lets the brand work at large sizes without repeating the logo.

Bio, experiencias terapéuticas, su faceta musical, blog, calendario de eventos, área de usuarias y venta en dos monedas (EUR y ARS) para su público en España y Argentina. Maitena pasó de un logo que no la nombraba a un sistema completo capaz de sostener todo su proyecto: web, redes, talleres presenciales y comunicación por correo.Maitena went from a logo that didn't name her to a complete system that carries her entire project: website, social, in-person workshops and email.

El símbolo funciona igual de bien en una pieza grande que reducido a sello o avatar, y el manual le dio autonomía: puede producir sus propias piezas, o encargarlas, sin que el sistema se rompa. Más allá de lo funcional, el objetivo era que mirara su marca y sintiera «sí, esa soy yo».The symbol works just as well on a large piece as it does reduced to a stamp or avatar, and the guidelines gave her autonomy: she can produce her own pieces, or commission them, without breaking the system. Beyond function, the goal was for her to look at her brand and feel "yes, that's me".
